I just wanted to list my computers hardware so you all can laugh.
Athlon xp 1600+ clocked at 1.4 ghz
some generic mobo lan/sound built in
32mb geforce 2
256 mb ddr ram
40 gb hard drive parted 25/15, 5400 rpm
some generic modem
not really that great i still need some work on it, in all cost me less then $350. and it will run just about any game out there, but not all that well. Biggest full game i have is jedi outcast and it only slows down for that swamp area(i'm running it with all graphix on max).
so yeah go on and laugh

AHEM!.....*Laugh* but who am I kidding! My computer wont even boot up due to faulty BIOS and whatnot. At least I got 2 other PC's working that are still in some what much better than yours both running at 1.8 gigahurts and a 100gb HD RPM= Spinning too fast for me to count lol, oh wait! here we go, 7200! I can count fast when I really try

my old p4 was only 400fsb, there is a definite increase in speed from the 400 to the 533. I was surprised.

There is no outdoing, cuz what really matters is what you do with your machines.
I wont bother to list my machines. Besides I only have most of the stuff I use on loan anyway. It is nice getting to try out the new stuff though.

There is no outdoing, cuz what really matters is what you do with your machines.
Let's see...I play ut2003, quake3, bf1942, and Dungeon Siege...do a little bit o' Photoshop7 and try my hand at making game mods (and not just level editing either)
Seeing as how it's a P4-M it only runs at 1-1.1 ghz so b00 on that
Someone wrote in to Maximum PC with the issue that you have, the reason why it reads a slower speed is because the lower-voltage of the CPU deceives the prgram reading its speed, unless spee-step has been setup wrong

the other system..
Gateway profile III
1.2 GHZ pentium III
512 MB pc 133 RAM

oh yeah I have easy cd creator Platinum so I love doing mix cds with this.
onboard shared ram intel i believe the 82810 or 82815 I am at work and not in front of my systems.
onboard sound.
I like this system as I plays unreal tourney really well.. and Age of Mythology and Warcraft III so I take it to lan partys. (quite portable)
I want to get another computer as I play GTA3 quite a bit and on my Profile it locks up the entire system. I think this is a problem with windows 2000 though. As I have tried this game on almost the same system but w/ XP on it and it has no problems.
If I can save the money or pay my credit card off some. I am going to purchase an alienware laptop hopefully!
