Right now I'm using all generic case fans. One intake, two rear exhaust, and two in my power supply. However, I just bought 5 new 80mm (21db, 24 CFM) to replace the three case fans and two PSU fans. I also cut out the grill covers covering all of these fans to allow better airflow and less noise.

I have 2 80mm CM fans, one intake, one exhaust. Then I have an 80mm cpu heatsink fan (pushes some massive air). Then I have a fan on my GeForce 4 ti4600 of course =).

Those led fans look sweet in a power supply. Then again my desk faces my door and the tri-color fan is visible from the rest of my room. I had it against a wall and in the dark it looks cool against the wall. I'd just take a pic but its 6 am and im low on caffene and I cant find my camera. If i find it, I'll post a pic.

3 120's on the top, and 80 in the psu, an 80 on the hdd's and another 120 on the side. All panasonic, this case sounds like a jetliner taking off, but it averages a core temp of 60

4 x 4 Blue LED fans:
1 in front bottom of case
1 in rear next to ATX connectors
1 in Power Supply
1 in Blowhole
32.5cfm each

would be nice if Vantec or Thermalright, etc. would come out with high CFM clear fans with LEDs

I have 1 80 mm antec blue LED on the front at the bottom. It is pulling air in. I have a generic 80 mm on the case window. One 80 mm antec blue LED and one generic 80 mm on the back. I also have a Thermaltake volcano 9 for my cpu. It has both blue and red LEDs. I can relate to the guy earlier that says it sounds like a plane taking off. The Thermaltake makes tons of noise, but luckily it has a dial to change the speed.

I recomend ANTEC. Get a tornado fan on the top and an ANTEC heat sensor one for the Hard Drives. Then use 2 Antec fans in the back and one on the side. Get a ANTEC 1080 case for best air ventilation with its front washable filter.

i've used a 28 cfm y.s tech fan with my 1.51ghz AMD and thermalright sk-7 copper heatsink, and it cooler very very good (under 125 F) for the amound of air it pushes, but i prefer using the vantec tornado, get yourself a fan control though its a loud one.

my AMD Thunderbird chips run A LOT hotter then the new XP chips, with a thermalright slk800 and a 32-35 cfm you'll get very nice results.

i've got 80mm's all around. two in front, one in back, one on Tt heatsink (plus the two fans in my ps). All are antec fans except for the heatsink fan- they really push the air through my case. they all run quiet except for the Volcano 11 running at full speed.

Right now I've got about 10 fans; 4 of them hooked up to a homemade 3.5" 12v/OFF/5v BayBus. The 80mm case fans are "ColorFan" brand (aka generic) and are sleeve bearing. I would like to upgrade to either Vantec Stealth or Vantec Tornado fans with ball-bearings (they last longer).

Here's how my fans break out
2 80mm intake (generic)
2 80mm exhaust (generic)
3 Fans on Power Supply (Vantec Stealth 520W)
1 Northbridge cooler
1 GPU cooler
1 60mm CPU cooler

That's a good looking baybus. Go any place in particular for the parts?

Thanks DRock4WC.
The dual-color (blue/red) LEDs came from FronzenCPU.com (http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/frozencpu/ele-51.html);
and the DPDT switches came from Mouser.com (www.mouser.com (http://www.mouser.com))

If you build your own BayBus, use 7v for low speed instead of 5v. The additional voltage will move more air and still quiet the fans down.
