Ill post a pick of mine when i get done building my gameroom in the basement. What do you guys think an ultimate game room would consist of. So far in my plans im going to have a nice size room in my basement with nice comfortable couches and carpet. I have a nice hometheater system upstairs that is going to be moved down stairs. Its 400 watts, I cant go much higher in wattage because of my neighbors. In my game room im going to have my computer,32 inch tv,surround sound , pinball machine( there not enough room for a pool table.) I would like to move my 3 computers that i have upstair all down in my game room so that way i can a nice 4 computer lan party setup for anytime use. Any other ideas for my game room?

hey on geocities if you change your images from .jpg or .gif to .txt i tricks the system so you can post likes to images with out having to copy and paste the url and havinig it BE IN MY ADDRESS BAR FOR WEEKS :shock:

Its even sadder that you have the rear chanels sitting right next to the front chanels. :P jk man, although if it were mine I would definatly be taking advantage of the 5.1!! I recently replaced my HTIB with a real theater system so I hooked it up to my gaming pc, I cant say I get to utilize it often since not to many forms of media offer a 5.1 signal but its always nice to have when a game does.

do you suggest having the two front channel speakers to the sides on your desk and the rear channels up on the corners of the wall behind you, and the 5th speaker on your monitor, i need to figure out how i'm gonna set up my stuff i'm getting.

well I dont know what kind of mounting options you have with those speakers but IDEALLY, you want all your speakers at ear level and every chanel should be clearly seperated. Luckily for me, I have a rectangle room that I use for only my office stuff so I have the rear chanels on speaker stands. The Front right and left are mounted to the wall and angled towards me. The center channel sits about 6 inchs above my monitors. The speakers are shielded but I still dont want the center chanel sitting on my monitors.

I consider myself to be an Audiophile therefore I am very picky about how my theater system sounds and projector looks. When I purchased my new setup, I invested in Avia which is a DVD formated calibration tool along with a radio shack SPL meter. So if you want to get precise then maybe you should pick up those 2 items and then go from there to see what you like.

Well I now actually have a Dragon case, it is the aluminum one. Its so light, much easier to carry, plus I have room again (old case was too small)

I was hopelessly addicted to Everquest for 4 years... so I would actively use the middle 2 monitors / keyboards / mice. The monitor on te left was my linux box which was used to actively sniff EQ packets (ShowEQ) and give me sort of a GPS view of the game. The one on the right was what I used to look up in game tradeskill recipes and stuff =P

Was easier to just have all the keyboards and rats around than to have a switch hehe

Yea I feel luck to be here Freezer.

But one thing that really bugs me is at college there are very few Handicap parking places (around 50).Students most of them are in there prime around 20 yrs. old (I guess) park in these reserved spots using handicap placards.They do this because a parking pass is $67.50 a semester.

There seems to be only about 10 to 15 Handicap students total including me.I have to search for a place to park then lug my books and laptop up hill to class and being 46 it can be a challenge especially
when it's raining.When I see these students getting in or out of there car I ask them why dont you BUY A PARKING PASS? They all have this stupid look on there faces.
