So here is my first big mod that I have been working on. The LCD is a Gamecube one that hooks to the top of the cube. I was thinking of what to put it in and found some legos. so here it is: tell me what you think

whell, here is the board for the screen that I have to work with. I pulled off the LED that was right on the board and soldered on 2 wires instead so i can put the LED wherever.

Here is the startings for the frame that will house the LCD. Also notice the lego piece that looks like a fan grill. :D it is going to have a cooling fan

sounds cool, keep up the good work. A lot of people have been using legos lately its kind of cool because to most "normal" poeple legos are for little kids, but it shows legos are for all ages.

next I put in 2 small speakers. Its a tight fit when the lcd is inside, but theres just enough room.

thanks for the comment computerman. This project is turning out very well. I am also trying to use the legos and fitting them together normally and not use too much glue or other items in there.

The LCD needed a little bit more spacing to fit snugly

Here it is with the base attatched

Some wiring for the fan and other stuff. Since the screen is powered by 12volt and the fan is 12volt, I could just hook up the fan directly to the 12 volt power coming in. Im also using an on/off switch for the fan since it can be a little noisy.

here is a closeup of the fan switch. It is one that you push and it clicks down and then you push it again to turn it off. I used some kind of lego piece that I put over the switch
