^ ^ well, time for an update, and what better way to show what I am doing to my case then to show some good pictures, and explain things in a work log.


Well to start off, with the up coming V-day I thought, what a better idea to base a mod on... so I got off started. I took a glass rose I had "laying around" and started trying to fit it into a container. The rose will be submerged in water; it will be one of 2 reservoirs. The second I will make out of acrylic tubes. The container of choose so far is a wine glass that I cut at the handle to make a sort of dome... I got the idea from another mod, after countless hours of searching for a proper container. I will cut out the top of the case to fully expose the rose reservoir, with an under lit red glow.

The pump, case's inside, wire ties, wraps, and water will all be painted red. The out side of my Lian-Li 65 will remain black.

I also want to keep track of my costs, and material usage here:
1x- rose - $14
2x- 4 inch endcaps -$3.34
1x- 2 inch endcap -$ 1.24
1x- foot long akr tube 4inch ID - $6.19
1x- CHeap wine glass -$1

I will mostlikly need to try at the rose container agian, the wine glass i am using is cryistal... T_T and is hard to work with...

I like it, that reminds me of something i was thinkin of but instead of a rose it was a snow globe type thing but the fan or something moved the snow around...I dunno, it was a long time ago....well keep up the good job. cant wait to see the finished product

I am considering putting "glittter" inside the water, but after i was strongly advised not to because it would jam the pump, i am reconsidering.

My power just came back on, 60 degrees in my house. 21 degrees C in my case ^ ^

Time for a little update! Tonight is the night before V-Day! I plan to have my case done tomorrow enless something bad happens.

-I have finished the paint job, and the rose in the clear dome on top.

-I finished getting new tube, and collection some ribon to tie things up

-I also am cuttently painting a speaker set to match the case.

-Got to mount the rose dome-thingy on top of the case. (I am planning on doing this by cutting a 80mm hole, and using a modded fan grill to go under it.)

-Finish the speakers

-assemble all of it (30-40 mins, if I slack off...)
