I saw this mod a while ago, when look around the site. It looks really cool. But...i don't have a handheld. I really like the Dell Aixm though, maybe in the future....
....Is there anyway to do a monitor MOD? I always thought it would be really cool if you could...

I opened up one of my old monitors the other day (wanted to steal it's usb hub) and the only cap I saw wasn't all that big, but I decided to put the cover back on when I saw that the leads for it on the pcb were 1/4" thick!!

Is there a LED on the cradle?

yes there is a led on the cradle, but its very different than the led that fits on the face plate of the tape drive. the LEDs are flat and on the little board thing, whereas th other is a mini light bulb type (if that didnt make any sense i understand)

This is a kick bottom project.....and i'm very tempted to try it. I have a palm m505 and it cost a boatload and i'm nervous about destroying the cradle....so i think i'll try it with my old palm III with the monochrome display first......cool project though
