Ok, here is a worklog of my own version of Yoshi's Boxx, in fact that is what the inspiration for this project was. I only have a few cosmetic issues to clean up, but everything works 100% correctly, and it is assembled and running upstairs in my room as we speak!
Also I have to put a link to my first worklog I had, because it has too many characters and too many pictures to stick on this page

*Sorry I don't have more pics in the worklog, like I said, I have a few cosmetic issues to clean up (i want to stick chrome edging around a lot of the cuts), so when that is done hopefully i will have a movie of her in action, or at least some pics.

thanks!
i actually subscribed several months ago with the intention of posting this, but i completely forgot about it, and today i was sitting around on the comp talking to someone about this mod, and they asked me if i had thought this up or if i got the idea from somewhere, and i told them about yoshi's boxx, and i thought oh yeah! i was going to post this on his forums, so thats what i did. :p

lol, but thats nowhere near as fun, and you dont have a spiffy comp with 4 consoles that you can show off an LAN parties. emulators just dont have the "cool" factor.
plus emulators are not always as good, take super mario 64 for example. (i use the project 64 emulator as my 64 emulator, ZSNES as my SNES emulator, both are very, very good) but any way, SM64, a lot of the puzzles involve creeping and walking very slow, something you cannot do with a keyboard, only an analog stick. thats really the only thing i can think of tho where an emulator would be a lot worse.

yes, but you are still missing the point! emulators are nowhere near as cool as a box with a pc and 4 consoles!
a trained monkey could install and use an emulator, but not everyone can make something like the Y-Boxx, or in my case Infiniti (her name)

One word describes pretty much what everyone is saying. Wow. I'm speechless.

wow, thanx...i mean, like i said its not entirely original, i got the inspiration from the Y-boxx, but really, thanx.
and pretty soon here i ought to be getting some chrome edging for those cuts in the case top/side, and ill take some pics, and hopefully even have a movie of the final product, ill post in this thread when i do so
oh yeah, and a question i would like to ask you guys, right now i just have all my A/V and power cables running out a hole in the back, and its quite messy and the cords get tangled very easily, and its a pain in the neck to haul around...any suggestions/ideas 4 me?
