I just got my system set up in my room, and wanted to show off :)
Its n HB-505 kit from Kenwood, with 2 large front speakers, 1 reciever, 1 center, 2 small surround speakers, and 1 powered, 100 watt sub.
I don't have any pictures rght now, but my system is powerful enough to rattle my next door neighbor's windows :p Not bad for a $150 system huh?

Very nice setup! What kind of music do you listen to?
In my private living room, I got a pair of Heybrooks HB-1 Speakers with an Arcam Alpha Amp. I got a Pioneer CD player connected to it at the moment and a Rega Planer 3 Turntable.
Its great for Jazz....

I have a small setup in my bedroom, knocked the pictures off the walls with it once already. Had to upgrade my receiver because it kept overloading.
Sanyo 32" tube
TEAC 5.1 500 watts dolby digital yada yada
TEAC 10 band graphics equalizer
Fisher 24 disc cd changer
RCA dvd player (nothin fancy)
Sharp 3 disc shelf unit w/ cassette
Uniden SQ560 C/Ku-band satellite receiver
Uniden UST-2000 C-band satellite receiver
Echostar Dish Network satellite
Hughs DirecTV satellite
Sony laserdisc player
Symphonic stereo vcr
(2x) JVC SVHS studio vcrs
cheap Optimus surround sound speaker package (100 watt unpowerd subwoofer)
subwoofer and center channel speaker are not in use right now, was given a Bose Acoustimass 10 series 2 cube and bass module, so I'm using that in place.
Computer's hooked up to digital in on the decoder, and the pc has it's own vcr and dual dvd burners
Oh yeah, and an 8 trac recorder.
Once we get the new garage built at the new house, I'm installing a killer home theater in there. Going to put my projector in there, along with the Aura bass shakers (currently in the living room) and I'll get a 6.1 surround system (either Pioneer, Onkyo, or Yamaha) and a Bose AM 10 s2 package, so it'll be 6 cubes and dual subs.

Yeah, that's what I've been leaning towards. My uncle has a Yamaha 5.1 driving a Paradigm speaker package which I really like, and he had another Yamaha 5.1 driving his Bose 901's in his formal living room until he blew the reciever for the second time. He then switched that one out for an Onkyo 6.1 which really impressed me. Anyone seen those crazy 9.1 and 13.1 surround systems?

those 9 and 13 channel receivers are mostly for Multi-Channel/Zone envirroments they dont have 9-13 descrete channels of audio, check out the Denon AVR-5805 10.1 http://www.usa.denon.com/catalog/products.asp?l=1&c=2
there not meant for having 13 speakers in one room for surround sound, at least not yet in time anyways
That denon is ultra nice with HDMI inputs and outputs, check out the rear picture of it, warning image is very large

Not too shabby....I like the colorful wiring, but a small suggestion is to work on the wire management. but since its a thermaltake, kinda like mine I'll show you what I did for cables. I'll try and get that on here soon. but other than that I really like your setup.

i only got a crappy samsung ht-db120 which came with one crappy sub, but if you like bass like i do, do this, go out and buy 4 Logic RXW12 Subwoofers which are 2000 wats a piece and two logicCPX 1820 which are 1820 wats a piece and hook those up under your couch and wire it all up, then go watch 2 fast 2 furious and feel the movie and watch it. ^_^

Old school stuff that might be older than some of you: Spica TC-30s, Adcom amp & preamp, HK tape deck, Marantz dvd player, Audioquest cables.
And Sennheiser 550 headphones-great phones.

Now before you read what I have, let me just make clear that I work as a home theater installer for a living.
Here's my system:
Sony 36" XBR HDTV
Yamaha 7.1 Surround Receiver
Sony 200 Disc DVD Changer (for storage)
Sony 5 Disc Progressive Scan DVD Player
Sony VCR
Definitive Technology Tower Speakers with built-in 8" subs in each for fronts
Definitive Technology Center Channel
Boston Acoustics THX Certified Tripolar Rear Speakers
M&K MX-125 MkII 125 watt dual 12" sub
Custom HTPC
I also have a pair of Definitive Technology Bipolar Rears that I am going to use as my surround backs once I am in a place with enough room (the apartment is a little small). I have been working on this system for awhile and just finished it within the past two months.
Kennyt772-What's wrong with your speakers, I might be able to give you some advice.
