umm, id say send it back to PS and have them do it. other wise you'd probably void the waranty.

how in gods name did you pull that one off? were you playing sand castle? I would NOT open it if you value your warranty.

It happens every so often. Happened to my parent's cell phone, my CRT monitor, etc...

Dusty environments do this.

Well... today I opened it up and cleaned the LCD with some office depot screen cleaning cloths, and it looks good as new. As for the warranty, it is not at all damaged and i have filled in the "VOID" spaces with a marker so it looks factory.

now that I got the screen cleaned I don't need to send it in, so i need not worry about my warranty...unless the hardware fails, which i doubt will happen any time soon.

Please can someone provide me with a step by step guides as how to access the screen, as I think I have something under the screen, but not sure if it’s a dead pixel as it’s a little white dot. As for warranty not sure if is valid as US import in to the uk.

Thanks stew

I also have tiny dust particles under the screen of my psp which I thought were failed pixles, but Looked at the through a jeweler's loop and all of the pixels are functioning. The small white particles are resting under the screen but above the pixels, the are only visible on a black screen. If anyone knows the procedure for opening and cleaning the screen without making the problem worse by letting more dust in please let me know.

Thanks

yeh i got a little piece of white dust like stewieb. YES it is dust trust me i know it is. but i am not openning my PSP b/c i just got it back from repair no way it is going out again it is desperately needed besides eventually the dust will move to the side of the screen and become unnoticeable.
