I'm working on building my second pc and I'm trying to figure out what would be the best way to aircool a mid level (2000-2400) athlon xp chip. I've seen fan adapters at a couple of the shopping sites and they seem to be a good idea because they would allow me to get a good amount of cfms with minimal decibels. One of the posters on TechTv's board gave me a fairily ambiguous response, but he did mention that there was the potential for vibration due to back pressure from the larger fan. Has anyone played around with fan adapters and what have been your experiences?
