Anybody have any good resources regarding what you can do with/to Bluetooth phones (beyond the video)? Just curious, as my PowerBook is being build and I also should be getting a v710 soon.

I don't know much about Apple PCs and what you can do with Bluetooth with them.
If you have a Bluetooth-enabled Palm PDA, though, there is software called SEBlue. It was designed for use on Sony Ericcson phones, but it says it works with a select few other phones too. Anyway, you can look at phone stats like temperature, battery status, voicemail status, and depending on the phone you can look at things like the phone book and stored call logs (like things you missed). I can even use it to dial phone numbers (although I need to use part of the basic Palm OS tool for that).
Maybe that will give you a start....

It's not me writing this, it's the devil :D :
You could always do what's called Bluejacking, where you make a contact with your phone and send it to someone else's....you could make one and tell them to come here... *wink*
There's software available for laptops, phones, and PDAs that lets you detect when other compatible devices are nearby or send things automatically, and I suggest you visit BlueJackQ (http://www.bluejackq.com) for a bit of information.
I do it with my PDA once in a while, it's fun.... ;) Just not too many people to do it to around here where I live....
(Note to self: Add www.yoshi.us to the BlueJack contact....)

Nice. I like the example they used to explain Bluejacking on that site. I used to do that with net send in the labs - send random or awful messages to people and watch them trying to figure out how it happened.

Yeah... net sends great... used to have a lot of fun with that at school... untill someone sent some rather racist msg's to every computer in the school... that was pretty funny...

I would do that too, if we had any form of PC in the school. They're all macs, and they are upgrading to OS X on everything as we speak (and I've already hacked up my user acct. for a few extra privvies like extra disk space - good to be one of the first to use it).
Sorry for steering this so off-topic, but you guys know an OS X equivalent?

Try this (http://bdash.net.nz/2004/10/19/display-samba-net-send-messages-on-os-x-via-growl) perhaps.
