So the wife already has an Ipod mini and I use my 2lb notebook to plug into my can Aux in port. Works good but to save wear-tear on my notebook (and fumble) I decided to buy an MP3 player for myself.

Not knowing anything about MP3 players other than the Ipod, I did some research.

I went with the 1GB MuVo TX FM (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5783083139&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1) .
- No propriatary cord
- No software needed (drag'n drop)
- FM tuner
- Voice recorder.
- Easy to navigate, sounds great, cheep for 1GB.
- Small, fits on keychain well.

Used for Geek talk (pod cast's) and some music. For the price, I can get rid of my 512MB Crucial Gizmo and have this as my "thumb drive", plug it into my car stero (for in-between H4x0r jobs)

Recommend.
So anybody need a 512MB Gizmo? ;)

Burke']So anybody need a 512MB Gizmo? You paying for shipping, and is it free? :D I'll take it if the answers to both of those are yes - I'm a bit strapped for cash...

Then again I do have that 1GB drive I just bought....

As for your choice, it seems like a good idea to me...and it's expandable, too...assuming you get another one of those drives....

You'll have fun with the Creative software - its the same stuff that comes with mine. It's particularly useful for recording things that you normally shouldn't be able to, like game music or (cough)streams(cough).
