First and formost I busted my Dell DJ Gen 1 only 6 days after the bloody warrenty expired. Hey s*** happens. The headphone jack is all messed up. The signal gets all wierd. It's like you can hear the layers of the music from when it was edited in the studio.I have to hold the headphones in a certain position to get it to work. I have tried different headphones to see if it was the phones but it's not. Unless somebody can help me fix that thing it's useless. If it can't be fixed I am gonna use the HD for this PSP mod I've been itching to do. Also is their anything else you good do with the parts in the Dell? But if it can be fixed please tell me! I would rather not have to buy a new mp3 player.

So I started shopping around for a new mp3 player. I found my way to the iriver site. These things look like bricks. I have never actually seen anyone with one of these and I don't exactly like to follow the crowd so this could be great for me. I settled for an iriver H320. I am gonna order one off of ebay since I can't find this model in any stores around my area. I just wanna know if there is anything better I could buy (No Ipods!!!)? I also wanna know what you guys think of the H320 spec wise?

Here is the link for the H340. The specs are exactly the same except this has 40GBs

does it seem like the headphone jack is loose? It may need to be re-soldered

iriver is very good! i have one myself, and if you ever have problems with it(which you shouldnt) you call em up and give your number and if they cant get to you right then they call you back when you want them too, but they are very good, ive had my for 3 years now it its hard to break em, mine was ran over with my dads F250 and only got a scratch, tho i dont recomend doing that, just to say they can take a beating and still work

I could take it and see if I could fix it for you, might just need some soldering or a new headphone jack. I have a dj also.

First off I'm not buying into Apple (that's a personal grudge I have with them). Second it seems I came into some cash so I am gonna buy the iriver. I would still like to fix the DJ if I could. I opened up the DJ and I am looking at the jack. There isn't anything loose so what can I resolder?

This is a family site. I can't get my point across without a few ill tempered words so I'd rather not.
