Humor me here a little, because I'm like a proud pappy with a new baby, and I'm handing out cigars. I finally got my system up and running. This is my dream system that I've been researching and planning for about a year now. Every component was studied.

I would have posted this in the Mod section, but it's not a true mod. The only real modding I did was to extend the length of the power supply cables so that I could run them around the edge of the case. I then wrapped every wire in black electrical tape. Of couse, I added the lights and dials, too.

Yes! It's ultra quiet and my idle temps are 29c and I've never seen it go over 36c. I got the fan controller because I thought it was going to sound like a P4 HSF, but you can barely hear it, even when it's on full speed. This HSF is as good as the reviews say it is.

I got mine at NewEgg for $41.00. They have the half aluminum one for $34.00. It comes with hardware for both AMD and P4 in the same kit. Installation is very, very simple on a P4.

About a grand, maybe a little over. I saved nearly $600 by pre-ordering the mobo cpu combo kit at the Intel Channel conference in April. The most expensive thing is the graphics card.
