View Full Version : Can i overclock a HP pavilion 8755c PIII 800mhz

i need to kno if over clocking my HP pavilion 8755c PIII 800mhz chipset Intel 810E, is possible. every thing on my computer is stock nothing has been modified expect my SDRAM which was 128 pc-130 and i add a another 128 pc-133. here all my computer information http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/document.jhtm...ocName=bph05964 (http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/document.jhtml?lc=en&docName=bph05964). if you could replie as soon as possible i would most appriciate. o ya and im running windows xp professional.

Since you have a intel chipset you are pretty much stuck with what you have the intel chip sets are locked so 99 % of the time they can't be overclocked.

Thats the problem with mass produced systems, Build your own !!

no... simply put.. HP dell and compaq lock the fsb in the bios. you cant overclock with them. sorry.

If you wan't to risk flashing your bios that should pass the lock, but if you do that, NO SUPPORT FROM VENDOR, sorry but that had to be in caps.

How did you managed to get windows xp on the system? On the system specification i read that the only operating system that is supported was windows me.
