I was just wondering what you guys thought about 802.11n

I know right now that as a router alone it is pricey but good.

G is becoming the standard now... just think how long N will be...

I will stick with my B and G wireless. If I need speed, I will just plug in.

N may be cool one day. Then again, by then, it may be "Z".

Trust me, none of us are giving up our modded WRT's any day soon.

well out of curiosity what did you do to your wrt's to make them as good as they are?

A buddy of mine picked up that 802.11n router yesterday and I have to say it is nice. Runs bout 240mbps. it's nice i will admit.

but you guys dont think n will catch on...? i think since most people are now having to learn about computers(even though you know most of us on here grew up with it...lol) and since they have to jump on the band wagon, i think n will come in at a great time...maybe not as hard and powerful as b or g came in.

I'm still holding out for WiMax. Our WISP is supposed to be moving to it at some point, I'm just hoping they will make a version available for home use (although those "for industrial use only" stickers have never stopped me....).

W have been screwing wiht the router and have found a couple fo hiccups that cant be explained...

dont use the router to run a switch cause it will be wierd...like stop working and lag and thne jump to 240mbps...odd...very odd
