I don't know about you, but I remember the days when everyone used AGP, DDR memory, and IDE hard drives. Heck I built my first computer with those components. But with all the new technologies out I freaked out today and didn't know what I wanted to buy. I already shifted my $200 in savings over to my checking...

What happened was I went for a hybrid board and processor combo.
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813138270
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103537

And for kicks:
9600XT cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835186114

What I have before the upgrade:
7njl6 Chaintech motherboard w/ nforce 2 chipsets
AMD XP 2500+ (Overclocked to 3200+)
512MB memory (Will upgrade when I sell my current mobo + processor)
9600XT video card
320GB total of IDE hard drives

When I swap out the parts I linked to above, should I expect and misconfigurations or problems? Slower/ faster speeds? Did I make an oops? Thanks for any replies.

[EDIT]

I will elaborate why I went hybrid. With all the new technologies coming out, I didnt want to spend much money towards anything. I just wanted a good bump in speed. I will upgrade my video card when I get the chance, and add 512 more of memory. I thought, why not swap out things that work with other hardware I already have? I'm sure I'll have to reinstall Windows, but will I have to reinstall Ubuntu as well due to the motherboard swap?

Now I'm reading that XGP isn't compatible with many video cards, anyone know if it will work with a Powercolor 9600XT?
