I recently just found something out about some motherboards that support the SATA 3G. The motherboard may claim that it supports 3G, which then you can connect 3G drives to it, but what you have to look for is the transfer rate.
My motherboard supports 3G hard drives but it DOES NOT support the 3G transfer rate! I had to put a jumper on the drive to limit the transfer rate to 1.5Gb/s so that my pc would stop crashing on me because my motherboard only supported the 1.5Gb/s rate.
This is just a notice for people who have or are going to upgrade in the future. Thanks for reading.
