Ok.. so first.. I almost typed in yoshi.us.com just to get here.. :D
I havent been here in forever and a day but I KNOW that there are still some folks around here that might help me out. So here goes.
I have Charter Cable. (Speed: 5MBPS; irrelevant) Im using a linksys BEFCMU10 cable modem and it works beautifully on the computer Im on currently. I seem to have a problem renewing my IP from my computer.. but Im sure a reboot would fix that.. but Im lazy.. ;P
So.. Here lies my problem. We were using a Motorola Vonage router for the fax machine and the 2 PCs on the wired network. Well, that router took a ****, and we no longer have Vonage.. so its cut. My current problem that Im having is that my replacement for that router will not seem to connect to the cable modem and share its internetz. :(
Ive used this router since back in the day when I was on DSL and posting regularly (SP?) on these forums. The router is a Netgear MR814v2. It has 11MBPS wireless access point.. but I turn that off.. xD
Errm... So the deal is, I cannot figure out how to set up this router up with this modem to get my computer to the internetz! Please help. :)
