I asume you're going to go with AMD in that case. In terms of Mobo I would recomend an Nforce2 from ASUS. They are very well made and seem to be more stable than Via adn SIS have been in the past (and present). You can get them w/out onboard sound and video to keep the price down.

For Video I's stick with one of the Geforce Ti due to the fact that both Nvidia and ATI plan on relesing new cards sometime late this summer and prices will come down (and I'm not talking about the Geforce FX...). If youre not doing gaming than go ahead with onboard video on the mobo.

For cd drives I highly recomend the LiteOn 52x24x52x burner. At 'bout 60 bucks its a scream. I got one myself and it works great.

At Pricegrabber (http://www.pricegrabber.com) Maxtor hard drives seem to be the best price/performance choice. They've been good to me.

HD
Mobo+processor
Fan/Heatsink/cooling
Floppy(optional)
Cd-rom(opt)
mouse
keyboard(s)
Ram Random access memory or some dynamic RAM
or DDR double data rate... I believe they are.
Best off with DDR

you guys can do the rest, I'm just an amateur at computers.
