hi all.

im looking to upgrade my PC and by a laptop. now i have been busy for the last 2 years so my tech knowledge has suffered.

todays CPUs, the Ghz dont matter, they have some number like AMD had in the old days (and still now). i find intels PR confusing. e.g core2duo 6300 , its at 1.83Ghz, what the heck is the 6300 ? is it a PR of 6.3 Ghz ?

help much appreciated.

basically u know how an AMD CPU e.g. AMD AthlonXP 3200+ means that its like a 3.2GHz CPU,

with an intel core2duo 6300, does it mean its like a 6.3Ghz cpu ?
