Packet Loss ?

hey all.

after upgrading my computer a bit and obviously reformatting. my CS is suffering.

my ping is higher than usual and i get a bit of "loss" and occacional "choke"
i never had this problem before.

is there anyway to check my network card, router, windows settings ? to see if something is wrong ?

i cant try another PC because i sold my other PC, even my craptop (that thing couldnt run cs anyway).

all i got is another vista laptop (vista sucks so i dont like using it).

try updating your rates first...

put these into your devconsole

rate 50000
cl_updaterate 80
cl_cmdrate 80
