I am new to the whole video editing deal and im running a P4 2.4 ghz 512 ddr ram 80 gig hardgrive . I recently bought a Creatvie video blaster digital vcr tv card. I am wondering what is a good "low cost" program for taking the mpeg files that the tv card makes and turning them into video cd's to play on my dvd plaver. All help is appreciated.

I dont know if this will work but I have downladed movies in the past and I used Nero Burning Rom to burn then as a VCD. But your DVD player has to support playing VCD's.

Thanks i really appreciate the help, i guess i should prolly break down and get a dvd burner lol. but thatnks again, these boards always seem to be so helpful.

ya your welcome. the thing is that you dont have to get a dvd burner as long as you have a dvd player taht supports vcd's and also a cd burner in your computer. so do you :?:

i like using nero-buring rom for making my vcd's it works greta and there's hardly any problems. if u want we coulkd do a direct connect through aol instant messanger if u have afst connect and it will get sent to you. if u like the idea give me an email at phreak99@optonline.net or send me an im with havic999. i hope this helps

Yep, Nero should work just fine for you.

Another good thing about Nero is that you can create your own chapters and menues :lol:

does anyone know where to get a help file on making chapters/menus with nero? I'd love to be able to do that, to where I could make a VCD of my local theatre guild's "Jesus Christ Superstar" video from this past summer.

whats CDRWIN? the thing for the chapters is in there when you first select Video CD then you click menu and thats how you set it all up :lol:
