the parts arent the greatest, iam not a professional metal worker so there mostlikly flaws in the way i made something or hammered it

over all took about 8 months but actual time working on the case is not known, it was thought up around christmas/newyears and each part built from that time after till now
orginal case was an enlight EN7101 and was totally gutted, taken apart and reworked. even in the process of building the design has been changed a few times as new ideas were thought of..

is where my site about the case is and the following is where the latest pictures are.

Nice work on the outside of the case, but what's the deal with the inside? Are you planning an upgrade or anything?

what do you mean whats the deal with the insides.... i just used parts i had and it works for what i intented it to.... iam not Mr. moneybags so i cant have the latest and greatest. i would LOVE to upgrade and have the parts i want but its just not possibal for me.

as it is.. its very close to what i thought the finished case should look like. i built it for the case. not for what parts are placed in it.

thanks

That's badass. I was just curious as to whether they actually were new parts or just pieced together from what you had.

yep its peiced together.. i have severial boxes and friends and family that build pc's. its basicly all peiced together.. the case is scrap sheetmetal, parts of furnace units, duct work and peices from the orginal case.
the insides is a half and half mix... i bought a motherboard, processor and cooler off ebay, the vid card my sis gave me along with an old hp. sound i got a few years ago.. the pci nic card thats in the pics is fairly new and was installed breifly. fan grills and fans were new but i had them for about a year... i like to keep a few extra just incase my main box's fans die.
cdrom and floppy came from the orginal case so i just used them. as did the hdd but i cut a window in it recently..

if my funds were unlimited. i had a good diagram, new metal and plastics, and a welder my cases would look drasticly different..

as it is with limited tools, limited knowledge and parts and basic skills iam lucky i can get it to look how i want..

thanks

It looks nice.

But you know, a lot of people think the outside of the box is best...

I would rather have a beige box and upgraded hardware then a super modded awesome case and crap hardware.

It's what's on the inside that matters.

were doing the write up now. (my girlfriend and i) she helped with the idea, planning, some drawings, drilling, riviting, paint and material.. its only fair shes included. shes also helping me put together the entry package for TSS mod contest..

she wasnt into computer modding and after watching me do a few light projects like install windows, lights, and paint.. i talked her into helping with The Hard-Drivin' Dragon mod and now were planning a case for her. she'll mostlikely build everything with assistance from me and then we can see if her case will win any contests (if theres any when were done)
