Any experience opening a port?

So, I have a Belkin router. I've created a static ip (using run cmd > ipconfig/all, and telling my network to use x stuff, instead of random stuff).. logged into my router and attempted to open a port via Virtual Servers.. but I'm still unable to get a port open.

Any ideas?

You're doing this in the DMZ, correct? Are the IP addresses in the same subnet as the router?

I've had pretty good luck following the instruction at Portforward.com (http://portforward.com/). They have model specific instructions for 56 models of Belkiln routers.
