My box is loud!!!

Well, I went cheap and ordered Via-Aqua pumps and man this thing is loud! Anyone know if they are just loud in general or did i get stuck with a bad one? It sounds like a neon transformer and is making my head spin.

is the loudness coming from rattling , or from the pump itself?? perhaps there's some air trapped in there making it chirp away should be silent.. twist it around to losen all the air with it running , then adhere it to your case with 3m double sided foam tape..
