Well, after 3 nights of cutting, painting, cleaning, zip tying, etc. My box is done! Well, not entirely but I'll finish it when I get my dye and the rest of my wire wrap. Here's the cooling system:
Dtek ProCore Radiator
Via-Aqua 370gph Pump
Dtek Clear Bay Resavoir
Swiftech Water Block
1/2in Tubing
Sunon 120x38mm Fan
I put this on my 2.2ghz P4 and I have it OC's to 2.51ghz at 38-39c Idle (According to PCAlert) I haven't added any water wetter yet because I used it all in my last system but I'm hopeing that will drop the temp a few degrees. I have to change out my fan because this Sunon is way too loud. I plan on getting the mid delta from dtek. I have to say these Bay Resavoirs look really sexy and I'm sure it will look even better with a little bit of dye. I plan on seeing just how far I can go as far as OC'ing but I'll probably end up leaving it around 2.5ghz because it is stable. I'll post pics when I'm completely finished and I get some dye.

thats the highest oc you got... ive seen higher on stock air cooling!

maybe you have a bum cpu. ask around you may be able to get much more out of that cpu.

is your radiator inside or out side of your case?

I don't really know what the problem is. I think it just might be the processor because with stock cooling I couldn't even get it to run stable at its marked speed. I have the radiator inside the box but that's not the problem. The temps I posted were a little off according to my bios I'm between 35-37c. If I turn my FSB over 120 I end up getting a blue screen and having my system restart randomly but I don't think it's the temperature because it will no go over 41c... Any ideas?

i think you have a chip with a bad stepping. its just a bum overclocking cpu.

if it was an amd i would say just get a new one. but since that would cost you like $200.... maybe sell that one on ebay and get a C1 stepping chip. any speed. 2.53 C1stepping chips will OC like MAD. you may want to consider that.

I'm thinkin that might be the case.. I dont know if this is a C1 or not I know the 2.66 and beyond are. This thing is just wack though there's no way I should have results this bad cooled as properly as it is.

Every 2.2 I have seen (4) has been able to do 2.666. Even on air cooling.

The max for that chip is usually around 2.8.

See what it does with a little more voltage.

oh it will go to 2.66 its just I have boot problems. Everytime I increase my voltage I cannot reboot the computer and I have to reset my power supply durring the boot and then everything works fine.. It's wierd.

Oh and the posted temps are probably off by a lot because according to other MSI users their temp sensors read way high.

read high?? but you're is giving you 38c .. hm.. that seems low for that oc.. but i dunno.. it's getting late i could be way off , oh and btw.. not all of the 2.2's will do that oc.. depends on the run man read up ==Bikr
