Basic Modding

How did you guys get your start in modding. I'm not very old, but Love computers a hell of a lot. Only one in school who has built own computer.

I think I saw a modded box at a buddies house and thought "damn, I want that" How old are you? I have found it pretty hard to find anyone at my school who shares half the love I have for computers and paintball as a matter of fact lol.

I think when my parents got divorced I couldn't hang out with my dad so I got bored and sat down and went in an AOL chat for a few hours and it all went uphill from there, lol

I know 2 others who have buitl there own computers...

1 of them has awesome hardware but a horrible pre-modded case
the other one has somewhat good hardware and a pre-modded case (but at least it's perty).

I think i have like between medium and high rated hardware and my case makes theirs look like my mom's dell.

I like my computer, but it looks ugly and the case isn't mine, so I'm stucck, and I have very little money being my age...

Luckily for me, when i was 13 my uncle had a personally owned video rental store which i got paid 5 bucks an hour to eat pizza, drink pepsi, and watch billy madison over and over every day...and of course help him if he needed it. But i saved a lot of money in the bank from that and when i decided to build my computer i already had 450 left in there to start with.

he was actually the one who got me started in web design, he helped me make a webpage in geocities with the basic editor, it was about how i hated pikachu

I just do some small mods now...not to heavy into modding because i dont have any patience.

I got into computers a couple years ago probally while trying to fix my oldest computer ( didnt work) Then i started playing UT a lot and got into PC gaming, then i joined the Athlonxp.com forums and I feel most of what i learned about computers came from that site...just built my first PC around xmas time, and i love it! :D

so i built my own.

since 9 years of age a learned computers.. i built 5 comps. so far...

I frankly don't have the income to build computers or do anything I want, If I had a million I'd be an avid modder and builder

just type "PC mod" in google.. youll find all kinds of ideas. Then, build your PC from scratch. thats the only way to learn.
