Hey, just got far enough to post this. This is my eMachine T1801 that I modded. I'm almost done, just need to add some more lights, but tell me what you think!

Well, you made an e-machine worth putting on top of the desk rather then below it! Good work :)

Hey, thanks for the posts. Yeah cables are messy, I got some nice green cable ties at my friends house that I'm going to use. Lights, I got some. The "e" side has 4 LEDs and it glows a really nice green (I chose green because it is the color of eMachines.) I would show you a pic, but none I've taken of it have come out. The main part has no lights yet. I can fit a cold cathoid in there. I'm thinking about putting in a couple bright green LEDs, but I'm open to suggestions.

Looks nice. Like the window. Like the finger prints on the case adds the to artistic look to the case. For the lights you can try to take a pic with the lights out. And there is nothing wrong with a Emachine. I have one and its the only one that like never has to be messed with.

Hey again, thanks for all the posts! For Christmas I got a new computer...I'm going to mod and post later :) , and the E-machine is going Linux, but I still wanted it to look nice...so I got a couple feet of green El-wire for Christmas too. Installed it in the side, following the wires. It makes the wires stand out, but it is a cool affect. It also lights the whole insides :D . Lastly, I wired it all up to one switch, so when you hit it, the El-wire and LEDs (ones on the side with the "e") turn on. Take a look:

hey, that's cool, I really like the e window...how'd you enlarge that and cut it?

Hey Pack Rat,
The "e" was already on the side of the PC, just an indention, not a window. I had some acrylic and time laying around, so I decided to cut it.
The first step was to drill a starter hole, then we used a jig saw to cut out the center of the "e", then the "e" itself.
After that, we glued on the acrylic, then glued back the center of the "e". Four green LEDs and it was done!

That's cool

I'm not really familiar with the older e-Machines...I've only had the newer ones.
