I recnectly bought some leds from pcmods and had an awesome idea. I have a chieftec case with a door. I wanted to cut out a section of the case right above the door and install some of the white leds. Now i bought a reed switch from directron so that when i opened the door the lights would go on illuminating my cd drives and other stuff. Only problem is i mounted the switch but the magnets are not powerfull enough to go through the plastic. Any body have ne ideas on how to make this work??

:arrow:goto a hardware store and get some real magnets first. You should be able to find some quarter sized magnets that are pretty strong. then hollow out the inside as much as you can to derease the thickness. While youre at the hardware store you can get magnet latches for cabinets, these come with flat metal plates. thes would be perfect for flush mounting on the backside of whats to close.

hope this helps
