After having way too much time on my hands I built a computer case out of Legos. You can find pictures at my website http://home.comcast.net/~sessions9/lego.html and if the page reaches its hourly limits I have the pictures alone at http://www.pbase.com/dicepackage/inbox

OMG, thats insane!!! Great job!

Better patent that before LEGO starts selling LEGO-brand computer cases. :P

One question for ya, how many legos did you end up using?

Nice, nice indeed. My friends at work say I'm a little old for LEGOs, but I still love them. My pick is the Robotics invention system, nothing is impossible with those. An idea I got was to integrate LEGOs into the actual functionality of the machine. With the camera add-on and a switch, you could have the pc turn on by modding the PWR switch to come on when the camera detects motion. Heck, you could even program the Lego camera to activate different features such as PWR, RESET, and EJECT. Your mod is sweet, and could only be the begining! Keep it up! -Tomalak

Its striped but it would be too hard getting one definitive color or pattern due to a lack of pieces. This isn't a very good computer. I thought I would mess up the motherboard in the process so I didn't want to invest too much into it. It is comprised of a pentium 133 processor, 400 Megabyte hard drive, 16 MB PCI video card, and a 150 watt power supply. It was mostly a trial but now that it works I might just have to replace every part and use this as my main PC.

Thats a cool mod!

I would leave it just as it is and turn it into a Linux SmoothWall Router/Firewall.

Sounds a lot like my first computer. But this one is 100 times cooler. I like the 'windows' on the side. lol, very nice.

You can fix the case easily but I'm not too sure about the computer itself. But that's why he made it a low spec computer to not risk the chance of screwing it up...

even though you got false props on being original, its still the best lego case ive ever seen, nice job man. I made a lego mouse cover thing but it is less color coordinated.

I at least thought it was original until I had lots of people on another forum telling me elsewise.

Looks great but I think it could be cooler if you would have built something other than a box.

I plan to do something like that, although i'd use mini-itx and my legos would be pretty much the same color.
