ok, what im planning on doing is in the ext year or so, im going to assemble my own computer, complete with mods. i was wondering what kind of case i should use if im planning on using a window. im looking for something fairly cheap, so i can have more money for other stuff. i am planning on putting the window in my self. speaking of which, where can i get an inexpensive window kit and what are some tips on putting te window in? any help is appreciated. :?:

First i would reccomend a Lian Li but they are rather Exensive.
Second i would reccomend and Cheiftec or Chemning case, a ATX Full Tower, because they are nice and big, and the provide a big area to mod with.

yah, i know that think geek does, but they are expensive, and the Lian Li one are too. im trying to stay somewhere between 50-80 dollar price range...But, i do have an idea... what if i took and put a nice 12 x 12 window on this case: http://lib1.store.vip.sc5.yahoo.com/lib/xo...xoxide/b302.jpg (http://lib1.store.vip.sc5.yahoo.com/lib/xoxide/b302.jpg) i actually found the site www.xoxide.com is very good for modding stuff you should check it out if you havent already...

I've screwed up way too many cases by messing up when I am in a hurry.

i have one more question that may or may not be answerable...is it possible to slow down the RPM of your hard drive to make it quieter? just a thought, cuz i have a REALLY loud hard drive in my room

o, tbw Lem6687, i like the idea of getting a cheiftech case, that is almost definitely my soceond choice... :P o, and another question for window kits...do they give you a template for the window for making the cuts or do u just trace the window itself...?

I think if this was possible you would end up getting bad clusters...

you set the window down on the case, stick a pencil in the hole of a washer (which is provided) and trace around like that. if you get the cheiftech check out the large window kit at http://www.case-mod.com it's huge and the molding is hard to fit in, but it's nice.
