Ok so one day my roomates and I were all bored so we went to the toy store and bought these crappy R/C Jeeps. They could only go forward or reverse and turn. Yeah the super crap stuff.
After playing with them for a while I noticed they had some serious torque to the engines. So of course I popped the cover and checked out the pretty hefty motor inside. The cars only used 2 AA batteries in series to run. So of course the next thing that anyone would logically think is, "lets try 8 AA's in series".
So we did it, and clocked it at nearly 30mph going down the road outside. Of course the engine only lasted about 45 minutes, and it melted all the bearings and most of the internal parts, but hey for a total cost of 50 cents per mph, I'd say well worth it!
