Fish tank mod

So, i've seen dozens of fish tank mods, where you have your regular PC case, with a fish tank in it...

Why not build a fish tank, with a seperate section on the bottom or in the middle, with air vents...so you'd have fish tank, with a computer in it?

Why not mount the motherboard at the back, so the tank's background is the board? If you mount it on the bottom, then if there's a leak, that's the first place the water would go. Not good. But having it in the middle..... Maybe have the board encased in a type of waterproof enclosure, with the wires running out in a waterproof casing. The CPU can be cooled by the water, and can also act as a tank heater.

You could put a bunch of sync'd cold cathodes and LED's to your sound and start playing music, then have bubble machines!!! The fish would looooove that :P.

That has been done...I saw it in a maximum pc issue and it acctually won a contest or something...

Don't burst our bubble! (no pun intended) Chances are, probably 90% of the mods proposed have already been done. It makes it much more exciting to do if you think it hasn't been done yet.

You could have some well placed acrylic tubes so the fish could swim from side to side...if the pc was in the middle of the tank.

Depending on the type of fish...and fish dont like loud noises so music in the tank would kind of be cruel. B)

I didn't think this was possible but here it is and think of the OCn

i seen that about 2 years ago that was oil you might not be able to do that with water i can try i have an old 233mhz ill try that this weekend and put pic up if works

DON'T KILL IT!!! They didn't use water, since water is conductive. 3M makes some specialty cooling gel or goop, which was on the ScreenSavers a little while ago. That's what's being used in the picture. Plain water would kill your system.
