This game does look fun, yet a bit childesh. Ive been reading some previews around the web and this games sounds fun. What I like now about it is if you preorder it at ebgames.com (I think other sites have the same special, as well as stores in the mall or whatever) You get two free copies of games playable on the gamecube: The Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time, and The Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time Master Quest...i know the Ocarina of time for n64 was hella fun....and on gamecube im sure they'll be just as fun! :D

why the hell would they remake a 64 game on GC? seems dumb unless the whole thing is redone to a new plot and landscape

they're just porting it along with an unreleased sequel. It's not like Nintendo is trying to make money off of an old game like with some GBA games, they only did it as an extra for preordering. I hope they improved the graphics though, it would be a waste of the GC's power if they didn't. Then again, if they put in any more work to port the game, they might consider charging for the games.

Of course the cube has the power the cube ownz all... yeah right but its got the power and they are porting it but your gonna get better graphics color and it will look sharper along with having fast fps. and The Legend of Zelda: OOCMQ is actually called Ura Zelda.

Now, I wouldn't say that, but it does have power, and quite a bit of it. I can't wait till it comes out! And I'm lovin the Gamecube copy of Ocarina of Time.

You can't go wrong with the new Zelda, I am getting a gamecube just for the game. The only thing I don't like about it is, it looks like it is made just for kids. but looks can and probably will be deceiving. can't wait for it.

I did that with the N64 . . . bought it just so we could play the Zelda games :)

(ended up buying Mario 64, StarFox, Mario Kart, and SSB too)

If you're getting a Cube just for Zelda, you're missing out on alot of great games. That's like getting a PS2 just to play Final Fantasy.

my friend pre-ordered it and they shipped the bonus games before. he just got them. i live in canada so it mite b different than the u.s, all i no is that the master quest has extra dungeons, its waaay harder and the levels are rearanged.

Master Quest doesn't have any NEW dungeons, just remixed versions of the old ones. They designed them to use your memory of the old ones against you. Some of the puzzles are harder, but some of them aren’t as well thought out. It's not much harder in general, but it does expect you to have pretty intimate knowledge on how to play and you do take twice as much damage. You wouldn’t want to play Master Quest without playing the original first.

The Final Fantasy Series is one of the BEST series out there...I do not care for the newest ones because you have to pay to play online...which makes no sense.

That's just FFXI, FFXII will be a standard RPG again.
I picked FF just as an example, chill.

I agree, the Final Fantasy series are some of the greatest games ever made.

Final Fantasy is one of the best series out there, and the new online one will be just as good as the others. (If and when it comes out.)

Yeah, FF is one of the best if not the best game(s) out there! I like FF8 the most though cause I have some mystical connection with Siefer and Squal is just plain cool! If you ever play Kingdom Hearts (which I hope you dont cause squareSoft made a huge mistake with making it) then you will notice that Leon is squal cause one of the characters accidently calls him that and he tells her to call him leon I guess cause he is ashamed of his name

They didn't acsually improve the graphics, but the GameCube is making the graphics much sharper, yesterday I tryed running the game from my N64 and GameCube, and I must say, I could easily tell a difference.

First off PS2 has the worst graphics/power than any system, this is a well known fact, epecially taken into consideratopn that the PS2 was released a year before Xbox and Gamecube.

What made you decide to respond to a year and a day old thread? Anyway, I have to say that the Zelda series of games are my all time favorite line of games.

I thought that they had made Link such a warrior and bada$$ on the N64 and I couldn't wait to see how he would be rendered on the GC. Then I saw the screenshots of Wind Waker and was destroyed by the sight of the cell shading kiddie version. I had been considering a GC for awhile, but then they released it with the Zelda Collectors disc that had, Zelda 1(NES). Zelda 2(NES), Ocarina of Time(N64), Majora's Mask(N64), and a demo of Wind Waker, so I bought it right away. First game I beat on GC was the first game I had ever beaten, THe LEgend of Zelda(NES).

SO anyway, I have tried the demo of Wind Waker, but still cant fess up the $30-$50 bones to get the full version, I really want the older strong Link back...

I have seriously thought about getting this as a tattoo, but would probably never do it...http://www.porchicame.homestead.com/files/triforce.gif

Ok, I never had a PS2, so my opnion is from what I have played, My bro has a GC, and its deceant, the games are not the best, but hey. He has the Zelda disk, and I love Ocerina of time. He has gotten Metroid prime, nice game and Robotech Battlecry. Awsome game, but very hard even on easy level. and He got 2 games for under 50 bucks so thats pretty good. I had a PSone, sold it, with mobile monitor, batterypack, and FF7, very nice, played FF8, and FF9. FF8 + FF9 were not as good as FF7 imo. PS2 is awsome, I realy like the design, and they have the most games out of all the next gen consoles. GC is gonna have to try realy hard to beat PS2 because most of there games are developed for lil kids. There are a hand ful but not that many. Like animal crossing, omg that game is so stupid, my bro plays that and I look and say how can you play that, its like the sims and the sims is boring after an hour of playing.

I don't get why people say GC is geared towards kids more, its not really. You can find more kiddy games on PS2 (it does have the bigger library afterall, percentage wise I bet they are the same). But that argument gets us nowhere. And I have all 3 next gen consoles in my house, PS2, GC, and Xbox. The Xbox has been the most versitile, and GC is probably the most played (from ages 21-35 that play in my house). The PS2 hasn't even been turned on, it just sits in a corner and rots, the only thing I would really play on it that I couldn't get on other systems is FF Tactics and older games that the PSX could play. I got my PS2 for free and I'm trying to find someone to dump it on. :P

Avatard, I will pay for shipping....

And I agree, there is a fair amount of Teen and Mature games for GC, plus I have a lot of fun playin some of the "kiddie" games. Mario will always be king.

Nintendo just needs to learn to make the next-gen console backwards-compatible.

Needs to learn? It's not as though they've really had the option until now. You won't have backwards-compatible cartridge systems and sure as hell can't have the GC play 64 stuff. I know what you mean, but I'd be willing to bet that won't happen.

Imean GC2 or whatever it will be called bettewr be able to play GC games... and I believe they should go to the fullsize disc, it seems the small ones were more fo looks than practicality...
