Im having some trouble with my mouse sensitivity in CS, im having to set it rather high to get the sensitivity i am used to playing with 6 (have it set to 23now!)

Spec:

2600Xp
MSI KT4 Ultra
512megs pc3200
C-Media 6.1Sound
GF4TI 4200
XP Pro with SP1
Direct X 9
any ideas? i have tried a reg. patch and have tried turning of sound acc. in DXdiag, im stumped...

CS is known to run worse with BETTER video cards and NEWER operating systems...so that could be one of your main problems, because your specs seem fine to me.

right click on the .exe, properties, "run in compatibility mode"

add -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms to your command line, should help.
