Should I log in at all times as root user? is it safe? or should I log in as a reg user with admin priviledges? Also how do I get rid of a 'new command' i entered in the terminal, everytime i start the terminal it runs this command. how can i make it stop?
OS: OSX.2
its not hard to help people, and if you ever get the chance to write a 'read me' or 'instructions' dont assume people have 50,000 third party apps installed and all the know how you have... dumb it down, save people frustration, namely me!!!! installing MySql has been a NIGHTMARE! 10 online tutorials! ALL of them different! NO support. Half assume you have software you dont, (fink for one tutorial) Then when I goto the site the dload instructions dont work!
Noone has answers.......

I dont use OSX, but i do use linux/unix some always run as a regular and then log in as admin when needed. it just a safer way of doing things. I write tutorials. They are for Windows applications but i am going to start posting them to my site. I used to just make them for my friends but heck why not just post them to my site; they might even be usefull. Good luck.

I am now logged as reg user and will stay that way, good idea I think..
I posted what i found out about the terminal problem and it was posted in the UNIX section of Apple's forums if you need it!

Thanks!
