My First Mod.

OK, I know that it has been done before (what has not?) But this is my 1st attempt at moding. I’m using a ’70 era tape deck (Akai) as the box. Its about ½ done and should be done in ~2 weeks. Check it out!

It does well! I Tryed to pull one off and I pulled a mussel in my arm... The Mobo is mounted upside down and I don’t need it to fall. I did lots of testing first.

looks good so far. you gonna hook up those vu meters to the sound? i was thinking of doing that on the front of my pc probly one for each channel

No, I was just goin to hook them up to the HDD activity light. I need to find the right resistor to drop the Voltage first.

ha ha, thats true, windows is crap but its good at the same time, it hardly ever has 'no' problems!!!

OK, I got it wired now. The VU meters are hooked to the HDD activity light along with 1 Blue LED. 1 blue LED for power light, 1 for cassett light and 2 for back lights for VU meters. The 4 LED's are connected thru the VU level adjuster on the front pannel for brightness control (let me tell you, the LED's are supper bright). Shouls be done by Monday...XR
