Well, I'm taking a page from Yoshi. I know he's put almost all of the gaming systems in a computer, but I'm cramming a little more in mine. Plz, tell me what you think, or suggest something if you like.

From what I have heard dual processors are not that good for gaming so if you are going that route go for an AMD 64. While if your going the workstation route, why not go quad! (http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/GC-HE/P4QH8.cfm)

Don't do dually's for gaming...they perform like crud because games aren't programmed to work with two...

If you have the budget for a dually, then just go with a P4 3.2 EE

On the contrary to what everyone has said so far... Duallys will improve performance while gaming. While it is true that a game is set to run only on one processor, having two processors you will be able to run the game and other programs with alot more performance on two instead of one processor. Now granted if you are going to be running nothing but one single program at a time you won't notice a difference but in the case that you wan't to run a game and other multiple programs (ventrillo, msn messenger, blah blah blah, blah) then that 2nd proccessor will allocate it's resources to those programs while you other processor handles the game.

B.t.w those processors run 850 bucks a pop and you would be better off going with the FX-53 if you wanna game.

If i get the funds this summer (hopefully I will) this is the system that I would build.

RAM

VEDEO

then probably the same hdd you chose or somthing similar...

This wouldn't be built for gaming mind you.... Nope it would be my new developing center for 3dstudio, ps, and DWmx and the such... (but of course I would load far cry and vietnam onto it) BUT i'll probably jsut build somthing like a athlon 64 3--- and save some money to put into my car.
