This is Capt'n Slugs mini-LAN case..
He built the computer and I cut the side panel...he wrote
"Booyah! After 5 months of anticipation and coordination with Charlie (64Thunderbolt) I've finished my LAN rig! I modded everything (Heatsink, Case, Lighting, Cables) except the drives. This low-budget Small Form Factor gaming machine measure a meager 15 x 12 x 4 inches and weighs in at only 8.5 pounds!
The guts are ..
"Duron 900
Asus A7N266-VM (will eventually be upgraded to an nForce2 mATX mobo)
256mb PC2100 DDR
IBM Travelstar 12GB UDMA66 Laptop Hard Drive (tiny and silent)
Samsung 24x Laptop CD-ROM
165w Enlight PSU
Enlight Slim case

I modified the heatsink to allow the usage of an EXTREMELY thin 80 x 80 x 10mm fan instead of the regular high-pitched 60mm fan. Using only low-speed or 80mm fans, I was able to drop the over-all system noise level to 21Dba. The Duron hasn't gone above body temperature yet. Even when I play UT2k3. This machine has been sitting next to my desk Folding 24/7 for the past 4 months.

Enough blabber, onto the pics! "

It was a BTC keyboard, not sure the model, it died on me about 4 months back.

It may not be the exact same one, but very similar. check www.btcusa.com if it interests you.

it's nice and slim but seeing the bomber made me go play my old chunky gray gameboy with wario vs. him

did you just put a piece of plexi behind the area you cut? Care to share details. I like that.

Hi there I am new to Modding case's and have been wondering how to cut holes in the sides of cases like you did. What did you use to cut them?

Some modders use a Dremel rotary tool with a reinforced cut-off disk attachment. It all depends on the complexity of the design you want to cut out. A Jigsaw with a metal blade can do the trick quite nicely as well. Usually the cut out is then cleaned up by hand with a fine metal file and sand paper (wear protective gloves cause the metal gets sharp after cutting)

Always wear your safety glasses!...I can not express that enough.
