As per the Gamecube query, you require a "game bit". A quick search on eBay found them around $5.

The spelling is Torx, but the game cube does not use Torx.
It is called a "Game-Bit" ('http://www.lik-sang.com/image.php?category=0&products_id=1440&img=gc_n64_tool&show=1').
I have used a spanner bit to open one up before, but given they are pretty cheap I would just buy a gamebit.

Funny cause I have a magic tool that opens any and every screw, its called my drill! Yeah I know. I have a problem with small objects like screw drivers! I can never find where I put them cause I always leave them outside my tool box so I just pop in the right bit and dill the screw. Then Ijust put in some different screws for when I need to open the box again

Yeah I have done this as well, just be careful not to damge anything else if you do it. Also try using a left hand drill bit, it will sometimes unscrew the fastener without having to drill it all the way out.

Thats a good idea, I might try that sometime...like I said, might try it. There no garentee I will but if I cant find my drill or my trust hammer which I named "Old Breaky" or my lighter then I might try
