Last night i was sitting around bored and decided to mod some items on my old celeron 800... i think it came out pretty well for 30 min's work.

Looks pretty good... I'm going to have to do that molex mod with red LEDs. :twisted:

i need to do something like that since im about to move my computar in my room and i like my room dark and well i think that would look kool in there lol
Take the black tape off of the molex and add some heat shrink instead unless you plan on wrapping all the cables.. --Bikr

hehe already did it... the black tape was just to temporarly insulate it while i waited for my heat shrink

:D Thanks... I'll be workign on some new ones once i get my paycheck... Anyone got some ideas ?
this is a classic example of the rule of 3. He says it took 30mins, when infact it was most likely 1h30mins

ANd people dont think i can do this in 30 mins why ?... Its not too hard, Just use a dremel to hollow out the walls on one side of the molex (2 mins or so) and the soldering took about 15 mins for both resistors and lights. The keyboard took me about 15 minuts as well, most of the time was spent trying to find a decent usb cable to power the lights, but it was pretty simple once i got one end of the wire solderd to the switch
