i actually belive there are any plans you can get for an acrylic case but if you feel like doing a little reading then check this out

http://www.pheatonforums.com/phpBB2/viewto...opic.php?t=1231 (http://www.pheatonforums.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1231)

it will give you a very good idea of what it takes to make a case from scratch.

While your at it. Why go with the conventional case design. Make something different. Square is well... its square. Have fun with it.

rolled corners w/ 1 inch radius would be nice, but thats still gonna mostly square

I have been thinking of making my own case. Instead of going with the stanard design or the box design. I am thinking of going with a case a little wider, so i can put the cdroms in th side.

Why go for anything set in shape?

A Dalli or Picasso would be cool looking.

You never know what a box with mis-alligned non-conformist sides might look like...

just an idea

You should really consider scrapping the plexiglass Idea and switch to acrylic sheets for your case, plexiglass is far too hard to work with, it scratches and cracks when you try to drill it. Acrylic, however is mych more versatile and with a little bit of etching will take bot acrylic and enamel based paints, thats what I'm currently working on.

I have decided to go with acrylic. I am going with a translucent green. Hopefully i will get a cool effect when i put some lights on the inside. I plane on making the light adjustable so they would be on or flash with a beat. If anyone has a idea or something to throw my way it would be nice.

if you are still looking for ideas, try http://www.bit-tech.net and look in both the articles and forums sections. There are quite a few different ideas being thrown around on there for acrylic cases, how-tos, and project logs.
