any paint will work if you use an alchohol based primer first such as "zinsser" 1-2-3 primer. Apply 2 light coats, it will dry within 15.25 minutes and your off! Please be sure to mask EVERYTHING off, or you can get paint in your power supply , and thats not the way to end your day!
If you just want to clear coat base metal, use laquer. Its user friendly, comes in a spray can, and is pretty cheap! ($5.00) I also posted about painting a case in a newer post @-@-¬
