While I'm waiting on my video card to get here I figured I would take my time and do some fun painting mods. I googled around for some articles on chassis painting and didn't come up with anything practical. After disassembling and cleaning out the case I realized I really don't feel like priming and all that crap. Luckily I had a spare can of Black Krylon Fusion lying around, I decided to take one of the drive bay protectors(those random pieces of metal that you have to remove when you want to open up a drive bay, made of the same material as the entire chassis). I put a coat on there and 15 minutes later I was shocked with the results. Anyway, long story short I got the chassis painted yellow to match my Yellow Raidmax Scorpio, with zero prep work what so ever. I also got the front bezel painted with some black stripes(I'm not satisfied with the areas where my tape didn't hold up, but oh well). I don't have my good digital camera with me right now, so camera phone pics will have to do. I'll more have pictures this weekend as I sleeve my new TT PSU, as well as finish painting some other accessories. Enjoy, comments/questions welcome.

Looks good!
Yea striping can be a pain in the butt.
The quality of the masking tape is paramount.
3/M striping tape is the only way to go.
If the paint starts to string as you pull the tape... let it setup longer. (no longer than 24hrs)
Always pull the tape slowly to keep from yanking up the masked finish.
If you pull the tape at a slight angle the tapes edge will help cut the paints edge.

you can also use a box cutter bled, setting it parallel to the masking tape's edge. always works :)
Looking good too :D

Yeah, I just grabbed what I had lying around which was some blue masking tape. The biggest problem was getting into the little crevasses, I didn't want to skip over the entire face plate, so I decided to tape in-between the little gaps on the bottom grille. I'm still very satisfied with it, just not satisfied with the small glitches.
