My New comp Case

JUst got my new gamin comps case wonderin for some ideas. The case is built ok not best in world but for 41 dollars with a (i think) 400 watt ps its pretty good. I have 2 panflo fans that i want 2 put in there and there is alrdy one fan that i want to keep in there in back problem is that there is no other spaces for fans i was thinking of putting one for a blowhole and one for a side paneel(especially this cause i have found blowin air straight to cpu cooler keeps it much cooler).I ordered all the componets but the cpu and mobo havent come in yet (have to re order mobo cause they canceled order because i didnt answer when they phoned to comfirm order over phone(i ordered online at partspc.com). DOnt hink im gona do any heavy modding to case it alrdy has drive stealths and well everything. Dont think i will put a window in cause it will be in a comp desk side panel(dont know if i got a neon it may look tight to window and light the area up). Any other suggestiosn will be liked (no full modin of case to much work and money). Oh yes and can i get some help with doin the fan cuttin im not acurate with a dremel so i need a little help(i was thinkin of usin a holesaw how much are the bits for it).

I would post the images on my pic site i use but uninstalled photoshop to start transferin this comp over to bein a linux media comp(right now it is windows xp gamer/everything). So basically i cant resize pics and i have to to post on this site.

Forgot one thing i a tr2tt blower cooler its nice that has some thermal paist on it alrdy i have some high density artic silver 5 which will be better i think should i keep reg or use artic silver. If i should use artic silver how should i get other paist off just wipe it off or what.

you could always go with a new shiny paintjob, also you can take past off with rubbing alchol and a q-tip, just dip the q-tip in the alchol, then remove the paste.

I was thinkin bout gettin that sleeving kit from xoxide.com but i dont know if i rly feel like sleevin the ps until i put a window in it.what do you think would look better black or lblue sleeving(dont think im gona paint case to much work for right now maybe i will next summer or on christmas break(im a high school student just started school again).

Sry forgot to tell you tha case is black with grey accents(pieces)

I will try to reinstall photoshop to post pics of the case but i ned some help what would be best cathoide to put in there(color). Case is black and grey inside is all metal have black ide and hopefully sleevin tryin to order by tonight so the sooner the better. Oh yea and i think im goan put a little window in the side window have some left over plexi glass so i will use it only obsticle is the indent handle on the side panel but i will just have to cut around it.

well if it's mostly black id say go with UV lighting or white CC if you can find them. there is one thing i recommend on the lighting though: DONT go with blue lighting about 1/2 to 3/4 of the people i know go with blue lighting.

Ordered black cable sleeving kit universal molex tool(for ten bucks makes life much easier) 2 atomic 80mm fan grills and one 12"white cold cathoide from xoxide.com totaled out 2 34 bucks not bad also reordered my mobo from a dif place(it was actually cheaper at this place anyways). read a tutorial on usin dremel for cuttin fan holes gona do that maybe this weak or weekend dont know need to go get some dremel bits.

yeah white does seem like a good color for that. good choice since i never seen any white lighted cases around here(too much blue) i kinda like that lok though almost reminds me of mine before i started to mod it(but i think yours is better in looks...dunno about quality) hope it looks good

I thought of an idea while lookin at the case i have my cpu coolers fan controller and thought y the hell would i want it on the back of my case, so i decided im gona put it on the front but the floppy is lvl with the rest of the case so it would stick out and knowing me i would break it off AHAHAHAHAH. Solution i have 4 stealths for the drives i will have a max of 2 drives and maybe later a fan controller. I was lookin at the stealth and thought y not use that as a door making the door open so i have access to make a base to hold switchs and knobs any ideas on how to accomplish this would be loved.

Going to put the cpu fan controller and probally a switch 2 turn my cc on and off and more later on maybe. You can c the stealths in the picture so basically what i need is a way to open those doors open to get to stuff. woulndt be opened very often maybe at most once or twice a day.

I was thinkin maybe taking off the door and hidin the stuff back some but then it wouldnt be "Stealthed" like i want it. But it would make access easier.

Got my motherboard in today(ABit Nf7) going to take my computer to get the mobo takin care of(i would my self but i would mess up with thermal paist or somthin. All the comp ppl doin is installin the cpu thermal paist heatsink ram and maybe video not sure bout that though). Want 2 try that stealthing the bottons thing but i dont have the materials(sheet of aluminum very usful) and i want to put a window in and get all the other important case work done. The winow i was plaining on either cutting aroudn the indent u c in the picture or maiking a custom window (going to use some plexi i have left over so i have 2 c how much i have left) any ideas on how to attach the plexi to the panel i know i need to cut the plexi bigger than the hole but use glue or screws ?????? NEed to get some 426 dremel blades first (all i have is shitty ceramic things that came with my dremel).

Ok i need some help decided where to cut my window and what materials. I was going to use some plexi glass but i dont know. I was looking at the guide to making a window frameless from gruntville and i like that i want to do it.Window Mod (http://www.gruntville.com/howtos/frameless_window/). Any help on the window would be liked the attached image is the 2 cuts i was thinkin they are in white the 2 areas i need to add a intake fan right by whre the handle is so that is a factor.

Oh yes and i was tlakin to a computer guy that was going to do the work and he said im always takin computers apart and puttin them back together so i should just try to do it myself and i am :D . I need some help with one area and thats it the thermal paist i have a thing of artic silver 5 high density and a TR2-M4 cooler(it has some paist on it but the paist sucks and i alrdy have the thermal paist).

I dont know if i gave you ppl my setup but here it is(this will be a gaming comp). For motherboard the ABit NF7 awsome board for ocin atleast what i here. CPU will be a anthlon xp 2500 that im gona oc 2 hopefully 2.2ghz. Ram one stick of OC pc2700 512mb ram. One 80 gig segate ide hard drive. tr2-m4 cooler with artic silver 5 high density with 2 panflo fans and 1 hoem brand fan (came with case).Case is a linkworld case 400 watt ps stealths for drives no holes for estra fans will cut in(going to add window cc and fans and maybe later paint who knows) Gfx will be a sphire 9600xt 128mb like the 9600 and it is cheaper than 9800. Going to sleeve my ps and have rounded ide cables. Rom drives maybe a floppy a lite on 16x dvd and once i get a dvd burner for my media comp i will have a cd rw drive in it. Got a new mouse for it a mx510 logitech blue high preformance. Keyboard will be recyled a logitech internet navigator the moniter will be recylced to a dell(argh) 17 inch dvi flat panel moniter(can be used for 2 inputs one standard and one dvi its cool for testin other comps. Will run windows XP gona use same copy as usin now since this one will be turened into a linux media comp. Think that is everything.

Ok didnt get my xoxide package today like i was spose 2. actually just found out it is still in pa(cause they just sent it) right now wont order from xoxide again. But i got some glavinized dremel blades #426 to cut a blowhole waitin for someone to tell me best way to put window RLY need hlep with that. I was hopin to have the comp runnin by this weekend but my fan grills are in that package from xoxide (i could still run it but hey) that and my sleeving so it would be pain to take everything apart again so im just gona wait. Oh i have tomorrow off from school i live in central florida and school got canceled cause huricane charley(thanks charley).

Ok i thought of a cool idea fro my window that isnt too complicated. I need some help with it though cause i dont know what to cut out and what not 2 and how to show the lines etc. All the black is my idea of what things should be cut out but i dont know cause how woul i show the thing The 2 swords though i dont like where i had thought of cuttin(was in a rush 2 finish it and dont feel like workin on it again). On the swords instead of the middle bein cut i will cut the outside. I want 2 do this i have time and plexi (this wont be full side panel just probally in the nig square part next 2 handle type thing) but i dont know how to make it look right some help woudl be not liked not loved not appreciated but ah well it will be all of above. Like for instance instead of cuttin certain parts out should i cut all out and leave strip of metal to show all the lines or should i paint certain sections i dont know.

I got some work done yesterday put the 2 fans in cut holes and put them in. I also set the comp up its runnin smoth as a babys but right now with a 2500 oced to 2 ghz will go more when i find out y i have such high temps. THat brings me to my question my comp under load is runnin around 50 degreses celsius and like 44 regular i was wondering y that is so high i have a tr2tt cooler its one with blower on it and artic silver 5 high density thermal paist. Do i just need to wait a bit cause ive heard that it takes about a week for artic silver to set and start lettin the temps drop or could it be that i didnt put paist on right (to much or 2 little) i added a good layer of it it was smooth not much but i dont know. Oh and i tested the temps with sisofts sandra benchmark tool with the burn in test. Should i run prime95 over tonight to test it that way 2 or what.

Forgot 2 add the system it self is runnin 36 degrees with 2 panflos(one puttin air in straight at the heatsink. one takin air out as a blow hole) and one generic fan takin air out in back. Im going to add another intake fan on front(there is a place alrdy for it) to cool it even more. Loudest thing in there is my heatsink which is always at full speed i will change that later when the temps drop some.

Yea sry bout always postin i just was always in rush 2 get things in and go ill start usin the edit more i will post when im at school (have drafting where were on comps). I know i should post htis under overclocking but it relates to this comp so. I ran prime 95 while i was out for 2 and a half hours came back to my temps at 58 degrees for the cpu i know that is way 2 high does anyone know why they wuld be so high.

About the window and light thing i have my white cold cathoide in but i cant think of an idea for a window i dont want it 2 just be a sqaure or somthin i either want it to be a shield or something along those lines that are easy and are different from what othre ppl do.

Alright i need a good idea for a window something that is easy and looks cool i have some thigns i would like to do but dont know how they would look your ideas would be much apreciated. I will post pics of my UM job on the fan holes they turned out and dont look bad but the one is angled cause i wanted it aimed at cpu and only plave to mount was on handle indent but it fits. I will have to repaint later on the paint is a bit scratched up ARGH but it will be later when i have time to take parts out then paint and reinstall parts.
