HD leds to always be on

The front of my case has 2 Hard drive leds. I'm wondering if there is a way to mod it so they are always on. Perhaps power them a different way or something.

yep. disconnect the hd activity cable that plugs into the mobo, cut off the end, and solder the red with red and black with black with the power led.

that way both leds will be on when the computer starts.
