It's been a while since I visted any mod site. Since G4 took over I've been watching a lot less TechTV so I get out of the cool computer moods. I still want to mod my case. Today I bit the bullet and bought my sandpaper, primer, and a can of black paint. I was going to paint my extra case to see if I could do a good job. It was 1:30am and I need different sandpaper so I headed to walmart and on the way decided I wanted to paint the inside of my case and add a window. Believe it or not, Walmart didn't have my brand of spray paint nor did they have the sandpaper I was looking for.... So I bought a Dremel and went home to draw the window I wanted to cut out. I've been following Linears guides for painting and cutting a window so I think I'm on the right track. but I have a few questions...

1) Can I use a Dremel to cut a blowhole and drill holes for handels?
2) What's different for painting the inside of a case? Do I go right to primer or should I sand it first?

I decided I didn't want a black case since my friend just bought a Premodded black case with...Drum roll plz.... BLUE LIGHTS!!! go figure. I'm thinking for Red with black inside and Red lights. Will the black reflect the red light? Also, Should I paint the metal frame black, red, or some 3rd color or leave metal?

Thx again for any help

I would also like to know how to prep theinside of a case for painting, and what kind of paint to use. Is it the same process as anything else, or it primer really needed?

Ok... I have my window cut. Now I need to sand the edges and make everything even. I'm going to finish sanding the bezel and the rest of the panels then add my primer. I leave for college the 18th so I'd really like to have this case done by then. I'd still like some help with painting the inside.

This site helped me out a lot. I'm doing a SuperHero Theme to one of my computers. Good Luck and have fun.

Thx for that site. I've been on my new laptop and didn't xfer all of my links. I'm going to have a red case but keep my drives black. Is there anyway to have a red light come from inside or behind the CD-Rom? When the drive opens I want a red light to come out. I dont have an extra cd-rom drive to mess with so I dont know if I could just take off the casing in the back and have the red light shine through. Really if it's anything more than that I prob wont do it.
