U use a dental picck or xacto knife. might take a tad longer but less then it would for me to find the molex tool after loosing it :P

The molex pin remover works well but not on the ATX connector.

I used a bent straight pin to push back the locks... tugging gently on the ATX wires.

Hey SLAY3R that link ya posted (performance-pcs) is a great little mod shop
with a 100% reseller rating. The owner (I think I remember his name being Hank) handles all
orders and e-mail communications himself. A Hard to find personal type of service these days.

Highly recommended for some hard to find items.

Hi;

About the sleeving kits. I had two sets of them sitting on my shelfs for quite a long time. Till I decided to use one. I got so unpatiance that I went for the hard way.

1. I lost the pinout for the atx molex connector 20 pin
2. Labled all the wires with the # on the molex
3. Cut the molex from the pig tail.
4. As you guys know. The hard part came. After setting the sleevs an everything. Soldering the molex back. I spent like 2 hours on a single pig tail.
5. I wanted to keep on going, but I run out of shrinking tubin.

If you want to realy know how it is, just try. If you don't buy the damn tool.

Buy the way. How can I post some pics of my first mod?

I get ferrules from work and use those to push the pins out. There's one for every wire size, so they work on everything. they're only good for a couple of pins, though. One or two pins deform them pretty badly, but they are really cheap (free for me  ).
If you loose track of where the wires go, try hardwarebook.net (http://www.hardwarebook.net/connector/power/atxpower.html)

Those ATX Connectors are a pain.

It would be ashame to use the plain ol white plug after all the work.

UV & Color Molex plug kits are cheap in price.

I just used a safety pin.

A babys diaper pin would have a better handle.

(tip... grind down the point)

I recommend buying the .093 pin extractor from Radio Shack for $6.99 to remove the power molex's.

The ATX has two locks per wire... so your looking at 40 locks for the ATX.

It takes a little patience.
