Hey whats up all.
I was wondering if anybody knows how to speed up the loading speed and also the gameplay speed for a ps2. I have one of those ps2's that came out the first or second christmas it came out.

What can I do for fun with the spot for the network adapter if I dont want a network adapter [Dont play console online, thats what my cruddy comp is for].
Thx for all suggestions. Peace

Welcome to the forums. You'd probably have to use a mod chip to speed it up.
I saw something that saves games to the hard drive so they load faster I dont remeber what it was called. I think it was made by the same people as action replay.

There is a setting to speed up PS1 game load times in the settings. But it has problems with some of the games. As for the adapter slot, you could fill it with a sandwich. Yum! Some people hide thier cold cathode light inverters in there, but you would want a clear case for that.

The only way I'd speed up a PS2 is by throwing it out the window.

It's a setting in the PS2, not the PS1! When you play PS1 games on a PS2, you can choose faster load times, and "smoother" graphics. I haven't done it in a few years, it's more of a novelty. It's kinda glitchy sometimes.

No way no how. The program that ety mentioned, HDLoader, is actually being taken off the market. From what I've heard another product is in the works that does the same thing.

Step: 1: Get a degree in hardware Engineering
2: Buy your own fab plant
3: Make your own PS2 processors
hehe, maybe that is the wrong way to go

I HATE SOLDER POINTS.....
Check this out it features kevin rose off of TSS and "Double D" Dan huard,
though these guys curse like sailors....
and it is borderline illigal...
warned...

It took so long for new episodes to come out under normal circumstances, I wonder when the first LA episode will be made (not including the Hollywood war driving segment).

there's a limit to the speed increase in the settings menu, also if you use crappy quality media you will decrease reading/loading speed
but to get a faster game play purchase HDLOADER (http://www.hdloader.org/) and put your games on the hard drive
